FILE REQUIREMENTS

Before submitting your order with Searcher Press please make sure your files are set up appropriately using the guidelines below. This will ensure that your order can be produced in the quickest timeline possible.

File Size: Print files should be submitted at the actual print size set up at 300 dpi

File Formats: You can submit your print files as JPG, PDF, TIFF, EPS, PSD, AI or PNG

Color Mode: Files should be submitted in RGB color mode. You can provide files as CMYK or Grayscale modes but they will be converted to RGB before going to print.

Fonts: Files containing text should have fonts converted to outlines

Borders: If you would like to have borders on your final print please set that up accordingly in your final print file before ordering

Bleed & Safety Areas: It is suggested that you set up your artwork with a minimum of 0.5 inch bleed and 0.5 inch safety area on all sides.

Bleed is where you continue any background imagery, colors or patterns that run to the trimmed or wrapped edge that are expected to be cut off.

Safety area is the margin within the cut or wrapped edge where you keep any text, signatures or other critical design elements within that margin to protect them from bering trimmed of or distorted by the. wrapped edge on a gallery wrap.

Gallery Wraps: The wrapped edge of a gallery wrapped canvas will be an additional 2.375 inches on all sides or an additional 4.75 inches to the height and width of your design.

For example, if you are producing a 16x20 inch gallery wrap your main body of imagery will be 16x20 inches and there will be 2.375 inches on all sides that can be a continuation of your background image, color or pattern. In this example your final file size would be 20.75 x 24.75 inches.
